Clinical Study on Psoriasis Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
There are many statistical reports of psoriasis patients in foreign country, but unfortunately no reports were published in Korea. Author collected 167 cases of psoriasis vulgaris during 6 years from 1952 to 1957 at our department, and compaired our cases with the reports which were published in foreign country.
Results
1. The incidence of this disease: 1. !.6% of all skin diseases (167 : 14394)
2. Age and incidence: 1 st decade 7.78%, 2 ad decades 40,12%, 3rd
decades 26.95%, 4th decades 14.97%, 5th decades 6.59%, 6 th
decades 3.59%, 7 th & more decades 0%.
3. Sex and incidence: male 94 cases(56.29%), female 73cases(43.71%).
4. The localization on the skin: Upper extremities 70.1%, lower extremities 69.4%,
scalp 67.6%, face 13.8%, trunk 29.9% (mean: 2.5 regions in one psoriasis patient)
5. Seasonal consideration on the incidence of this disease: Spring 28.74%,
Summer 23.96%, Fall 22.15%, Winter 25.15%.
